Great find
I found Manila Bay by doing a search for Filipino restaurants in Philadelphia (my wife is part Filipino and we have enjoyed the food at her parents and at home). My family (wife and 3 kids) went early on a Saturday night . The person on the phone when I called for a reservation was very friendly and that warmness greeted us when we arrived and continued the entire night. It was not busy at first, but picked up as the night went on. Our server was knowledgable, prompt, courteous and helpful. The food (lumpia-Filipino spring rolls, spare ribs, 2 kinds of pancit noodle dishes, 2 kinds of adobo and all 3 desserts) were well made and nicely presented and were served fresh and hot. The prices are low (about $8-9 per entree) and the portions are sizable. We had not been to that part of NE Philadelphia before and were pleasantly surprised by the number and variety of ethnic restaurants in the area.
